Our Purpose
First, we aim to equip individuals with the practical skills necessary to thrive in the trades industry, including carpentry, electrician work, and plumbing. But our mission doesn't stop there. We understand that true transformation requires more than just vocational training. That's why we provide comprehensive support, including mental and physical health examinations, ensuring that each participant receives the holistic care they need to succeed.
The purpose of our nonprofit is to break the cycle of poverty and incarceration by offering a pathway to sustainable employment and personal fulfillment. We believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to build a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities. Through our programs and services, we strive to empower individuals to rewrite their stories and become active contributors to society.
Auston’s Helping hands is driven by a singular purpose: to be a beacon of hope and opportunity for those navigating the challenging streets of Chicago. We recognize that many individuals face significant barriers to employment due to circumstances beyond their control, whether it's homelessness, past incarceration, or lack of access to resources. That's why our focus is on providing a transformative pre-apprenticeship program.
Our purpose is twofold:
Our program is designed to address the root causes of crime, providing a supportive and structured environment for individuals to thrive.
With your support, we can continue to make progress towards a safer, more compassionate community. Join us in our mission to transform lives, transform neighborhoods, and create a brighter future for all.
